Gamecock football season has begun, so "football party" is on every fan's mind each weekend. Before you whip up your secret wing sauce and upgrade your TV, here are some things you can do to ensure your football party is a roaring success.
Get the Whole House Ready
Before your guests arrive, make sure your home is ready, inside and out. Clear your walkways of any leaves or lawn debris, and make sure all of your outdoor lighting is ready to light the way to your guests' cars when the game is over. Give your lawn a trim, too, if it needs it, just in case someone decides to take the crew outside for a recreation of the game's highlight plays.
Inside your home, make sure you create an open and inviting viewing area. Provide plenty of seating for those football fans and make sure their food and drinks have a place to sit, too. Remove any extra furniture from the room so all "big play" celebrations have room to be celebrated! If you're feeling especially pumped, include some garnett and black decor to get the whole room in the Gamecock spirit.
Plan the Perfect Menu
Football viewing parties are obviously all about the teams playing, but the food is a highlight, too. Think through where you want to serve your food (in the TV room vs. in the kitchen) and how you want to serve it (buffet vs. portioned finger foods).
